<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the preparation method of an oil sample for fluorescent X-ray analysis that can improve analysis accuracy and at the same time measure a light element when performing the fluorescent X-ray analysis of a settling substance contained in the oil sample. SOLUTION: Since a settlement inhibition agent 4 having the same or wider distribution of molecular weight as or than the distribution of molecular weight of the oil sample 3 is added to the oil sample 3, the viscosity of the oil sample 3 can be improved, and at the same time the settlement of a substance that settles can be reliably inhibited over the entire oil sample 3 by improving the viscosity. Also, by improving the viscosity of the oil sample 3, measurement can be made without using any protection films as before, and the oil sample 3 that is heavier than medium-gravity oil such as a lubricant sample can be measured under vacuum atmosphere, thus measuring also the light element.</p> |
