摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for obtaining crystal grains of 1μm or less so far required to obtain because further improvement in mechanical properties can be expected if crystal grains finer than about 1μm can be obtained in a metallic material, although, in the conventional titanium alloy having two phases ofα+β, the crystal grain size obtained by the conventional manufacturing method is about <=1μm. SOLUTION: The titanium alloy having two phases ofα+βis allowed to occlude hydrogen and is then heat treated, worked and subjected to dehydrogenation treatment. By this method, the ultrafine grains having <=1μmβ-phase crystal grain in anα-matrix can be obtained.
