PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the structure of a seat for the vehicle from running into a state where a lock part (prescribed part) is operated from a fixed side to an unfixed side by a cover when a large shock acts from a lateral side of a vehicle, in case of providing the cover for covering the lock part of a reclining mechanism in a lateral outer side part of the vehicle in a seat part. SOLUTION: A fragile part 20j easily opened by pressing is provided in a part of a cover 20 opposed to a prescribed part 18b of a lock part 18. The structure is constituted by pressing the easy break part 20j of the cover 20 to the prescribed part 18b of the lock part 18 according to movement of the cover 20 to a side of a seat part 1 to open the fragile part 20j of the cover 20 and making the prescribed part 18b of the lock part 18 advance into the fragile part 20j of the cover 20 so as to impede movement of the lock part 18 to an unfixed side.
