PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device which makes it possible to obtain sufficient performance by making the friction force between an opposition member, such as a cleaning blade 20, and a transfer belt 10 small and preventing a friction coefficient from changing even if dirt, such as toner and paper powder, sticks to the opposition member in such a manner that the friction force does not exceed the friction force between the transfer belt 130 and a drive roller 13. SOLUTION: The opposition member has ten-point average roughness Rz ranging from 3 to 20μm. This member is composed of a porous sheet of ultra- high molecular weight polyethylene having a molecular weight >=500,000 and its porosity is set at a range of 20 to 705.
