PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To change the level and the offset of a color difference signal, independently of red, blue and green, respectively, in correspondence with the specification settings of a user, to realize a finer color adjustment. SOLUTION: A first color difference signal, to be output by a color difference picture playback system 4, is stored in a first RAM circuit 7, and a second color difference signal is stored in a second RAM circuit 8, respectively. A red gain setting means 12 controls a color difference for the first RAM circuit 7, and a blue gain setting means 13 controls a color difference for the second RAM circuit 8. A green gain setting means 14 controls a color difference for both the first and second RAM circuits 7, 8 by a third color difference control means 11.
