<p>The invention relates to a device for eliminating the malodorous components of flatus and ammonia generated during the use of a toilet, such as a flushing toilet or bedpan, and comprises a chemical converter (100). The chemical converter is for use with a gas handling apparatus (400) for capturing malodorous air, such as through intake ports (402) located at the level of the toilet bowl rim. The malodorous components are irreversibly transformed by the converter into non-volatile non-malodorous substances, thereby neutralizing their undesirable effect.</p> |
