COUNTERMEASURE METHOD FOR IMPROVING SECURITY OF TRANSACTIONS IN A NETWORK

The invention concerns a countermeasure method for improving the security of transactions between sites and site visitors in an Internet-type network. The invention is characterised in that it comprises the following steps: (a) determining at least a screen zone (10, 16, 22) where an overstrike image would result in displaying to the site visitor an erroneous information concerning the security of the current transaction; (b) detecting whether an overstrike image requested by an inspected site covers all or part of the zone (10, 16, 22); (c) proceed with the transaction if the result of step (b) is negative; or (d) display a message or trigger a protective action if the result of step (b) is positive.
