PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for distinguishing the conformity of a product by which a criterium setting work for distinguishing the conformity of the product from an injection molding machine can be simply performed. SOLUTION: Molding conditions under which a conforming article can be stably molded throughout an N number of shots are found by working out the molding conditions. As regards at least one actual result value obtained per shot, an average value and a standard deviation are calculated per shot as from (N+1) shot based on the actual result data worth the N number of the past shots counting from a shot immediately before the (N+1) shot and it is judged by each shot whether the actual result value falls within the range of (the average value±ki×the standard deviation) by initializing a multiplying factor (ki) to the calculated standard deviation. When it is judged that the actual result value falls within the range, the product is the conforming article and when it is judged that the actual result value does not fall within the range, the product is a non-conforming article. Through this process, an optimal multiplying factor (ko) to the standard deviation is decided. After that, it is judged per shot by setting the optimal multiplying factor (ko) to the standard deviation calculated per shot whether the actual result value falls within the range of (the average value±ko×the standard deviation). When the actual result value falls within the range, the product is judged as the conforming article and when the value does not fall within the range, the product is judged as the non-conforming article.
