PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flat plate finishing machine capable of finishing a thin and large flat work without needing a wide installation space, and easily eliminating chips. SOLUTION: In this flat plate finishing machine 10, a work table 20 is pivoted on a base 11 through a projecting pivot 21 oscillatably from a vertical position at a predetermined angle, and a working head 30 is mounted on the work table 20 movably in directions of a X-axis in parallel to a major side of the work table 20, a Y-axis in parallel to a minor side vertical to the X-axis, and a Z-axis perpendicular to a table face of the work table.
