PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an earth retaining frame without impairing natural scenery capable of creating such a nature as various living things can be bred after sufficient strength is ensured. SOLUTION: The earth retaining frame is constituted of a slope formation section 2 by arranging a plurality of logs 2-1 in parallel at intervals preventing an outflow of earth and sand and a bottom formation section 3 connecting a plurality of foundation logs 3-1 to the lower ends of the slope formation section 2 at regular intervals and fixing the other ends of the foundation logs 3-1 with foundation tie logs, and the earth retaining frame is so constituted that the open end of the slope formation section is fixed to the open end of the bottom formation section with a stretch member 4.
