摘要 PURPOSE: A suspension control apparatus is provided to control vibration efficiently by generating damping force properly according to changes of speed of a piston and by controlling damping force optimally according to road condition. CONSTITUTION: A damping force map is composed of an ordinary passage map(A1), a bad road map(A2), and an extremely bad road map(A3). The road surface state includes an ordinary road, a bad road, and an extremely bad road. The damping force map corresponding to the road surface state regulated by a frequency and amplitude of vertical acceleration is stored in advance, and the frequency and the amplitude of the vertical acceleration are detected. The damping force map corresponding to detecting information is selected, and damping force is controlled based on the selected damping force map. The damping force map according to the frequency and the amplitude of the vertical acceleration is selected in anticipating a change in the vertical acceleration, and the damping force is properly generated according to a change in the piston speed.
