PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multicolor printing equipment having a plurality of plate cylinders, even by using some plate cylinders of which a favorable printing can be performed. SOLUTION: In the multicolor printing equipment having a plurality of plate cylinders 6A, 6B, 6C and 6D and a plurality of separating pawls 45A, 45B, 45C and 45D, which are respectively provided near the outer peripheral surfaces of a plurality of plate cylinders 6A, 6B, 6C and 6D so as to be shiftable their tip parts to approaching positions for approaching to the outer peripheral surfaces of the corresponding plate cylinders and to separating positions for separating from the outer peripheral surfaces of the corresponding plate cylinders, printing can be performed by employing an arbitrary plate cylinder among a plurality of the plate cylinders. The equipment is so constituted that the rotation of plate cylinders putting out of use for printing are stopped and the separating pawls provided in response to the plate cylinders putting out of use for printing are shifted to the approaching positions at printing. |
