PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce line-like artifacts occurring in the direction of a phase encoding axis in the case that body moving compensation of an image is performed using a phase information of a navigation echo during an imaging period. SOLUTION: When dual-pole gradient magnetic fields 34, 36 are applied to at least the phase encoding axis Gp to perform an imaging sequence, the navigation echo 40 without supplying encoded phase is measured. Before the navigation echo 40 is measured, a counter gradient magnetic field pulse 37 canceling residual magnetic fields of the phase encoding axis is applied to the phase encoding axis. As a result, the incorrect phase rotation of the navigation echo is reduced and the body moving compensation is justified by removing the residual magnetic fields of the dual-pole gradient magnetic fields remaining on the phase encoding axis.
