PURPOSE: An apparatus for sharing trouble information is provided to share trouble information, if a trouble is generated at a circuit board, by storing generated trouble information in an internal memory and enabling the other board to read it. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for sharing trouble information comprises an internal request part(60), an external request part(80), an arbitration control part(70), and a power supply part(90). The internal request part(60) receives trouble information(Fndata) and a signal(Fnwr) from a failure data storage part(30) and stores them. The internal request part(60) drives an NVRAM(Non Volatile RAM)(50) and generates a request signal(SReq_) to write the trouble information(Fndata). Also the internal request part(60) outputs trouble information(SData) by a grant signal(SGnt_). The external request part(80) receives a trouble information request signal(ONRd_) from an external circuit board and outputs an associated request signal(OReq_). Also the external request part(80) receives trouble information(OData) stored in the NVRAM(50) by a trouble information driving grant signal(OGnt_), stores the trouble information(OData) temporarily, and outputs it to the external circuit board. The arbitration control part(70), arbitrating the request signals respectively inputted from the internal request part(60) and the external request part(80), makes the internal request part(60) preferentially drive the NVRAM(50) in case that the two signals are inputted at the same time. The power supply part(90) outputs operation power to each component if power is supplied from either the present circuit board or the external circuit board.
