PURPOSE: A WTIB(Wireless Terminal Interface Board) in a DECT(Digital European Cordless Telecommunication) system and a synchronization method therein are provided to stably operate a DECT system by synchronizing the bit/slot/frame, PSCN(Primary Scanning Carrier Number), and multiframe of every base station in the DECT system, in case that many DECT boards are installed in one DECT system. CONSTITUTION: A WTIB(300) in a DECT system is comprised of a voice processing part(310), burst mode controllers(320_1-320_n), Mux/Demuxes(330_1-330_n), line drivers(340_1-340_n), a syncport interface part(350), a triggering signal interface part(360), and a CPU(370). The voice processing part(310) converts transmitted PCM data into an ADPCM(Adaptive Difference PCM) signal in accordance with DECT signal standards. The burst mode controllers(320_1-320_n) receive data from the voice processing part(310) and support a DECT protocol. The Mux/Demuxes(330_1-330_n) multiplex/demultiplex the DECT data of the burst mode controllers(320_1-320_n) and RF module control data respectively. The line drivers(340_1-340_n) respectively exchange data with the Mux/Demuxes(330_1-330_n) and respectively transmit data to base stations(380_1-380_n). The syncport interface part(350) outputs syncports in case that the WTIB(300) is in a master mode, and receives syncports in case that the WTIB(300) is in a slave mode. The triggering signal interface part(360) indicates the initialization time of the PSCN and multiframe of the slave WTIB. The CPU(370) controls each of the components of the WTIB(300). |
