TEXT INFORMATION TRANSMITTING/RECEIVING SYSTEM AND GATEWAY SERVER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To mutually transmit or receive text information by using a D channel between an information terminal equipped with no UUI(user-to-user information) function, and to provide a UUI-capable terminal. SOLUTION: This gateway server 1 is equipped with the function of converting text information from a portable terminal 3 into the form of UUI and converting text information in the form of UUI from the UUI-capable terminal 2 into the form of HTML(hypertext markup language) readable by the information terminal, and is disposed between the portable terminal 3 and the UUI-capable terminal 2. With this configuration, text information can be transmitted/received mutually, by using a D-channel between the information terminal 3 and the UUI-capable terminal 2.
