The invention relates to a method for the continuous, non-invasive determination of blood pressure, in particular, the systolic and/or diastolic blood pressure of a patient and to a device for carrying out said method. According to said method, at least one physiological parameter dependent on the blood pressure, or one parameter derived therefrom, is measured in the patient and said parameter(s) is/are transformed into the blood pressure. Said transformation of the parameter(s) into the blood pressure is carried out using at least one artificial neuronal network (7a, 7b). The method and device for carrying out said method enable the systolic and diastolic blood pressure to be determined more precisely in a simple manner, with increased temporal definition and without inconveniencing the patient. |
