PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To communicate also by a multiplexing transmission system by utilizing a metallic line when a distance of a station device (LT) and a terminal device (NT) is separate so that a burst period of a bidirectional communication cannot be maintained, or a voltage drop of the metallic line is greater than a predetermined value, relating to a data transmission system via the metallic line. SOLUTION: A repeater comprises a U point interface of a terminal device with a station device, and the U point interface of the station device with the terminal device, so as to relay both. The repeater is disposed between the terminal device positioned remotely from the station device and the station device, and the respective devices are connected by a metallic line. The repeater is fed a power to be intrinsically fed by the station device to the terminal device, from the station device to operate, and at a position near to the terminal device between the repeater and the terminal device, a power feeding adapter for feeding a power to a terminal (TE) is provided, and the power feeding adapter is structured so as to generate a power source.
