The windscreen wiper has a wiper blade (1) with a holding block (4). This block includes a bearing (11.1, 11.2) for the pivot bolt (3), and has a securing hook (14). The securing hook fits under the wiper arm (2) or part of it, transversely to its length, on the side facing the windscreen, at a side spacing from the pivot bolt.
