摘要 A system and method for real time optical processing of images by simultaneously combining the variable set of images in selected spectral intervals. Spectral images at a plurality of spectral intervals (510) are collected (515) if needed. According to criteria established in a particular application, coefficients for an optimal combination of selected spectral intervals are calculated (520-535). Positive and negative images are continuously captured through the optical filter whose transmission spectrum is adjusted to positive (540-545) and negative (550-555) coefficients of the optimal combination. Negative images are subtracted (560) from positive images and a sequence of resulting optimized images is displayed (565) in real time.
