<p>A method of elevating the ratio of individuals, which have been transformed by a foreign gene, by transferring the foreign gene together with a selfish gene. A recombinant vector having a selfish gene and a foreign gene to be used for imparting a new character to a host, into which the selfish gene is to be transferred, integrated therein. By constructing this vector and transferring the recombinant vector into the chromosome of the above-described host, the ratio of the transformed individuals, which carry the foreign gene transferred thereinto and have the aimed function, to the whole individuals can be elevated.</p> |
