PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively prevent gear squeal due to an index defective. SOLUTION: A first curved part 13a projected to one wall part 23 side for forming a key spring storing groove 21 and a second curved part 13b curvedly projected to the other wall part 22 side forming the key spring storing groove 21 are formed at an end part of a key spring 20. With respect to an index load characteristic for shift amount of a sleeve 5, a load characteristic generated by allowing the first curved part 13a to abut on the one wall part end 23a and a load characteristic generated by allowing the second curved part 13b to abut on the other wall part end 22a are different.
