PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide such vertically movable furniture that a door part can be easily opened and closed without regard to the body dimension and body type of a person and handling is easy though the furniture is arranged at an upper position in the room of a residence which a person cannot reach easily. SOLUTION: In the vertically movable furniture 10, the door part 18 is provided at an outer frame part 12 housing a movable housing part 20 in the state of being movable vertically, and an opening/closing wire 32 is bridged between the frame part 12 and the bracket 24 of the movable housing part 20. The medium part of the wire 32 is wound and hooked to the tip pin 38 of the bracket 36 of the door part 18. When the movable housing part 20 is moved downward, the wire 32 is tensed gradually to press down the pin 38 and can open the door part 18 automatically linked with moving down of the movable housing part 20. Consequently, even when a small-sized person uses the furniture, he/she can open/close the door part 18 easily and handles it easily.
