PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely displace a weft to a working zone of a guide nozzle without retaining the weft on an engaging means. SOLUTION: The weft 9 inserted immediately before the stop of a loom 1 by the jet ejected from a guide nozzle 15 is guided to a prescribed position in a state connected to a main nozzle 10. In the loom 1 having the above structure, engaging means 2, 3, 4 engaging with the weft 9 transferred by the beating motion are placed between the main nozzle 10 and the woven cloth 5. A displacing nozzle 22 to separate the weft 9 from the engaging means 2, 3, 4 and displace the weft to the working zone of the guide nozzle 15 is placed near the engaging means 2, 3, 4. In the case of stopping the loom 1, jet is ejected from the displacement nozzle 22 according to the generation of a stop signal to separate the weft 9 from the engaging means 2, 3, 4 and displace to the working zone of the guide nozzle 15.
