The decontamination system consists of at least one cabin (18) containing a series of static or dynamic nozzles (26) dispersing a decontamination liquid, and a floor turntable with a flattened conical surface which rotates the standing operative (16) slowly in front of the nozzles. The system also has equipment (68, 72) for storing, feeding and collecting the decontamination liquid, and can have asdditional cabins (12, 14) in which the operative is dried off and where protective equipment is removed.
