The method involves a data conversion as a result of the incompatible data or transmission formats of the transmitting (Application Typ1, 2) and receiving (Endgeraet A,B) network elements, whereby the transmitting or receiving element makes a request to a central coordinator (zentrale Instanz) for a suitable converter (Umsetzer 1,2) and the central coordinator selects a suitable converter. Independent claims are also included for the following: an arrangement for central coordination of data transmission between transmitting and receiving network elements with incompatible data or transmission formats.
