CONNECTING STRUCTURE AND COMBINATION OF CUTOFF FLEXIBLE JOINT AND SHORT PIPE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the connecting structure of a manhole and a mounting pipe and culvert and the combination of a cutoff flexible joint and a short pipe, by which stable watertightness, aseismicity and sewage flowing-down properties are obtained. SOLUTION: The connecting structure 1 is provided. The connecting structure 1 has the manhole 2, the mounting pipe and culvert 3, the cutoff flexible joint 4 and the short pipe 5, and the connecting hole 2a of the manhole 2 and the mounting pipe and culvert 3 are joined. The cutoff flexible joint 4 has a cylindrical section 4a contact-bonded with the connecting hole 2a and a covering section 4b covering the outer circumference of the mounting pipe and culvert 3, and the short pipe 5 has a contact-bonding section 5a and a connecting section 5b. The short pipe 5 is inserted into the cylindrical section 4a of the flexible joint 4, and the contact-bonding section 5a of the short pipe 5 contact-bonds the outer circumference of the cylindrical section 4a with the interior wall of the connecting hole 2a of the manhole 2. The cylindrical section 4a of the flexible joint 4 is fixed under the state, in which the cylindrical section is compressed between the contact-bonding section 5a of the short pipe 5 and the connecting hole 2a of the manhole 2, and displays watertightness. The mounting pipe and culvert 3 is inserted into the connecting section 5b of the short pipe 5, the inserting end section 3a of the mounting pipe and culvert 3 is brought into contact with the short pipe 5, and the mounting pipe and culvert 3 is positioned.
