PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for position adjustment of a structure, where no skill is required and vertical adjustment of piping can be conducted with few number of workers. SOLUTION: One side of a transparent pipe 22 is fixed to an iron post 46 and the other side is fixed to piping 48. A liquid level 44 is made to be adjusted to a fixing level 56 of the piping 48. After disposing the tube 22 in this manner, the difference of elevation between a standard level 50 and the level 44 is measured by a laser optical receiver 28, and then an elevator 54 is lifted by a PC 30, so that the difference of elevation is reduce to less than a half. In this way, the level 56 of the piping 48 can be adjusted to the level 50 of the post 46, by lifting the elevator 54 until the level 44 is positioned at a level that the elevation difference is reduced to half.
