摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a magnetorheological viscous clutch. SOLUTION: This magnetorheological viscous clutch 10 comprises an input member 12 and an output member 14. A magnetorheological fluid is arranged in an operation gap 60 between one column member of the input member and two cylindrical members of the output member. The fluid is energized by inputting electricity to a coil assembly 30 which generates an electric field in the operation gap. Wiper structures 82, 84 prevent accumulation and/or centrifugal packing of iron particles. A cavity for an excess fluid or fluid discharged from the operation gap is provided between both members of the output member. One of the members has an angular wall part diverging toward the operation gap to direct the fluid into the gap when the output member rotates. The input member is provided with a finned hub arranged to be rotatable inside the cavity for assisting in heat transfer from the fluid during clutch operation. A bearing member supports the output member on the input member.
