<p>Cookware (1) includes a cooking vessel (4); a transparent lid (16) adapted to cover the vessel (4); and a knob (6) attached to the lid (16), which knob is adapted to receive a temperature probe (10), wherein the temperature probe (10) extends into the cookware vessel (4). The transparent lid (16) permits one to accurately position the temperature probe (10) inside food in the vessel (4). The knob (6) may be offset from the center of the lid to facilitate positioning of the probe (10). Particularly while cooking at low temperatures, the transparent lid (16) and temperature probe (10) permits one to more precisely observe the temperature of the food. This results in improved cooking by avoiding either undercooking or overcooking the food.</p> |
