PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processor capable of taking a proper measure by exactly judging life of a storage medium of a connected external storage device. SOLUTION: The information processor with which the external storage device can be connected via a prescribed interface is provided with a life judging means to judge whether or not the life of the storage medium of the storage device has expired and a notifying means to notify a fact that the life of the storage medium of the storage device has expired when it is judged the life has expired by the life judging means.
