PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image pickup device capable of conducting accurate hand shake correction and low power consumption suitable for a photographing mode by hand shake correction suitable for each type photographing mode. SOLUTION: The image pickup device shown in the Fig. comprises a CCD 23 for photographing an object to output image data; a first hand shake correcting means (a first shake detector 31a, a first shake correction 31b) for electronically correcting the hand shake; and a second hand shake correcting means (a second shake detector 7a, a second shake correction controller 7b and a shake corrector 24) for optically or mechanically correcting the hand shake in such a manner that, in a moving image photographing mode or a consecutive photographing mode. Deflection of an image during exposure is corrected by the second means, and deflection of the image between frames (image) is corrected by the first means. |
