PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To immediately and easily cope with the addition of a document to be processed and a change in the format thereof, using a transaction system and method which uses an image ATM for reading and processing the document. SOLUTION: A server is given document specification data for specifying the kind of document, and size and letter data extracted from a document read are sent from the ATM to the server so that the kind of the specified at the server. Document position data and contents data corresponding to the specified kind of the document are sent from the server to the image ATM. Using the document position data and the document contents data, the image ATM recognizes each column in the document inserted, and a request to an accounting system for an accounting process is made based on the recognition result. |
