PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form an excellent image by preventing the surface of an image carrier which abuts against a contact transfer member from being worn not and also preventing the contact transfer member from being deformed. SOLUTION: At non-transfer time when a transfer material is not conveyed to a transfer nip part, a support rod 14 is move down by rotating an eccentric cam 15 by a specific angle and a transfer roller 5 is put away from a photoreceptor drum 1 to suppress the wearing-out of the surface of the photoreceptor drum 1 by the transfer roller 5 and the deformation of the transfer roller 5, thereby outputting an excellent image which has no deterioration in picture quality. |
