PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of readily and immediately determining a printing performance by measuring and storing various printing performance information for determining the printing performance every time when the printing is performed. SOLUTION: When a printer allows a plotter section to start a printing operation, it starts a time measuring operation by a timer. When an image processing main controller receives a paper discharge notice in a condition that an error occurrence notice is received from the plotter section, the controller obtains a first print time as a measured time measured by the timer to temporally store it in a performance information memory. When the controller receives a last page discharge notice from the plotter section, the controller obtains a total print time as a measured time measured by the timer to temporally store it in the performance information memory. The controller calculates a printing performance speed based on the first print time and the total print time temporally stored in the performance information memory to store it in the performance information memory. The measured time temporally stored is erased from the performance information memory and then the performance measuring operation is completed. |
