A device for heating a bundle of wet threads (3) composed of smooth multifilaments using a turbulent air stream comprises U-shaped thread channels (7) provided with a sliding cover (8). A U-shaped thread channel (7) is formed by a lower part of circular cross-section and an upper part of rectangular cross-section. This ensures optimal turbulence and good drainage of the water from the wet threads. In the claimed process, the bundle of threads travels at a speed of 100 to 600 m/min. |
