PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a provide freely mountable cleaning lid which can effectively clean an open vertical type cylindrical container provided with vertical type stirring vanes, an stirring shaft, etc., while preventing the overflow, splash flying, etc., of a cleaning liquid by utilizing the stirring with the vertical type stirring vanes after use of the container and a cleaning method using the same, is excellent in labor safety and hygiene, and exhibits effective cleaning. SOLUTION: The easily mountable cleaning cap 1 to be used after the use of the open vertical type cylindrical container provided with the vertical type stirring vanes is the freely mountable cleaning cap 1 which is divided to at least two parts across the stirring shaft 5 and has the upper cap 1 which is supported on the outer peripheral edge of the vessel 6, a commutation cap 2 as an inner cap divided to at least two parts which are disposed in the lower part of the upper cap and are detained to the upper cap across the stirring shaft apart a prescribed spacing h from the upper cap, and commutation guide plate 3 (3a) which are disposed on the lower surface of the commutation disk at plural points radially to the stirring shaft.
