PURPOSE: A computer system capable of sensing a user is provided to save a proper energy and manage a power source. CONSTITUTION: A power source controller(300) creates a control signal having a predetermined period, discriminates a light-receiving signal, and senses a user. If a sensed user is not sensed, the power source controller(300) creates an interrupt for informing absence of the user. If a non-sensed user is sensed, the power source controller(300) creates an interrupt for informing a seat taking of the user. A light-emitting device(310) receives a light-emitting control signal from the power source controller(300) and emits a light of a predetermined frequency while the control signal is enabled. A light-receiving device(320) senses a light which is created and reflected by the light-emitting device(310), and transmits the light to the power source controller(300). A control unit is controlled according to the interrupt created by the power source controller(300). If a user has a seat, the control unit changes a power source state into a normal state. If the user leaves a seat, the control unit changes the power source state into a waiting state. The light-emitting device(310) and the light-receiving device(320) are separated at a predetermined distance and mounted at the front surface of the computer system for emitting and receiving a light in a predetermined upward angle to a horizontal direction of the computer system.
