PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve cross talk between adjacent discharge cells, and to improve exhaust efficiency by securing a flowing path for exhaust and discharge gas sealing. SOLUTION: By a spacer 21, arranged in the direction perpendicular to line electrodes 12, 13 on a front side substrate 10, an influence between discharge cells, adjacent with each other in the extending direction of line electrodes 12, 13, is restrained, and by a barrier rib 32 on a back side substrate 11, the influence between discharge cells adjacent with each other in the extending direction of a data electrode 15, is restrained, consequently, cross talk is improved. As the flowing path for exhaust and discharge gas sealing is secured by the combination of the spacer and the barrier rib, exhaust efficiency is improved.
