PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cordless telephone apparatus capable of resolving an identifying gap between a base-set and a handset and also capable of attaining certainly a link forming after success of a data exchange. SOLUTION: In the apparatus consisting of a base-set 1 and a headset 2, the base-set 1 has a base-set radio part 15 communicating radio signals and a base-set controller 10 controlling the whole apparatus, the handset 2 has a handset radio part 23 communicating radio signals and a handset controller 20 controlling the whole apparatus, when data exchanges between the base-set 1 and the handset 2 during a standby period ended in failure, the controller 20 switches frequencies of the radio signals transmitted from the radio part 23 sequentially, the controller 10 switches receiving frequencies sequentially according to switching frequencies at the handset 2 during a predetermined time and also switches the receiving frequencies to predetermined plural frequencies during a second predetermined time.
