<p>An optical glass which comprises, as glass components, in mole %, 12 to 34 % of P2O5, 0.2 to 15 % of B2O3 (provided that the total content of P2O5 and B2O3 is 15 to 35 %), 0 to 45 % of WO3, 0 to 25 % of Nb2O5, 0 to 10 % of TiO2 (provided that the total content of and WO3, Nb2O5 and TiO2 is 20 to 45 %), 0 to 25 % of BaO, 0 to 20 % of ZnO (provided that the total content of BaO and ZnO is less than 30 %), 2 to 30 % of Li2O, 2 to 30 % of Na2O, 2 to 15 % of K2O (provided that the total content of Li2O, Na2O and K2O is 10 to 45 %), 0 to 10 % of CaO, 0 to 10 % of SrO, 0 to 5 % of Al2O3, 0 to 5 % of Y2O3, 0 to 1 % of Sb2O3 and 0 to 1 % of As2O3, with the proviso that the total content of the above components is 94 % or more; and optical parts and a raw material for precision press molding which comprise the optical glass. The optical glass can be suitably used for the mass production of precision press moldings and also has a high refractive index and high dispersion characteristics, for example, a refractive index of 1.7 to 2.0 and an Abbe's number of 20 to 32.</p> |
