PURPOSE: A double air conditioning control system and method for controlling air conditioning operation using such system is provided to maintain an effective control performance by arranging first and second air conditioners to the passenger compartment divided into two regions. CONSTITUTION: A double air conditioning control system comprises a first air conditioner unit installed in a passenger compartment(10), and which controls the mixture ratio of the cold air and hot air introduced into a first region(12) of the passenger compartment by adjusting the degree of opening of a first driving door(22) in accordance with a first preset temperature; and a second air conditioner unit installed in the passenger compartment, and which controls the mixture ratio of the cold air and hot air introduced into a second region(14) of the passenger compartment by adjusting the degree of opening of a second driving door(32) in accordance with a second preset temperature. The difference between the indoor temperatures of the first region and the second region is input to the second air conditioner unit, as a control input for controlling the mixture ratio for the second region.
