PURPOSE: A method for shaping air conditioner case is provided to achieve an improved productivity and quality of the product by protecting the surface of the product from damage during bending and caulking process. CONSTITUTION: A steel plate is supplied to a vending device(3) from an idle conveyer(2), and bent into a predetermined shape so as to obtain an air conditioner case. The case is pressed by a vacuum suction plate of an unloader(4) and conveyed to a shuttle transfer(5). A damper(6) attached to a side surface of a shuttle transfer line(L) operates so as to align the air conditioner when the air conditioner case is transferred from the shuttle transfer to a first stroke. An upper conveyer(7) transfers a right bracket and a lower conveyer transfers a left bracket when the air conditioner case is transferred to a second stroke, thus transferring the air conditioner case to left and right caulking units(8,8') through the vacuum suction plate and clamp. Each bracket is caulked in the left and right sides of the air conditioner case located in the shuttle transfer line. Subsequently, the air conditioner case is transferred to a third stroke, the left corner of the air conditioner case is caulked by a caulking unit(9), and the product is discharged through the shuttle transfer line. |
