PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flooding preventive device for elevators, which can prevent rain water from splashing from the inside of a sill groove for guiding a hatch door to a hoistway. SOLUTION: The purpose of this device is achieved by constituting this device by a rain water receiving case which is arranged at a lower portion in the sill groove for guiding the hatch door to receive the rain water dropping through the hole of the sill groove, a first water conducting tube for conducting the rain water flood having overflowed from this rain water receiving case in a water tank, and a second water conducting tube which is connected to the first water conducting tube for draining the rain water from the first water conducting tube to the drain facility in a lower floor other than the floor on which the hatch door is provided.
