PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antibacterial agent composed of glass, which exhibits an excellent antibacterial property by compounding it with a resin and is also excellent in discoloration resistance, water resistance, and external appearances. SOLUTION: The agent is composed of glass which contains 40-80 mol% ZnO, 5-35 mol% SiO2, and 5-30 mol% CaO, based on the total amount of components.
