PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for automatically peeling a packaging film for an elastomer material with which the packaging film can be completely and automatically peeled easily and in a short time from even the elastomer material having an adhesive surface. SOLUTION: The automatically peeling apparatus 2 for automatically peeling the packaging film 6 which wraps the elastomer material 4 comprises a first cutter 10 for making a first cut 32 along at least one of side faces of the film 6 of the elastomer material 4 wrapped with the film 6 on the side face and a take-up roll 14 which is in contact with a side face 6b of the film 6 with the first cut 32 made and rolls up the film 6 in an approximately right-angled direction to a longitudinal direction of the cut 32 for taking it up.
