The package for cooking ham under vacuum has a central pouch (1) which contains the ham and which is welded around its edges. The ends (8) of the pouch have a larger surface than the cross-section of the pouch. They may be curved to from a re-entrant section or they may widen towards the bottom. An Independent claim is included for a cooking ham under vacuum using the package.
