摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and method which can reduce the amount of computation to minimize a power consumption when the optimum weighted value of the transmission diversity in a mobile station in a mobile communication system where a base station performs closed-loop transmission diversity. SOLUTION: A mobile station includes a channel separator 21 for separating a signal from a base station into multiple path channels, a weighted value vector set generator 22 for encoding a weighted value (weighting coefficient) of a transmission antenna, a weighted value vector determiner 23 for determining an optimum weighted value, and an optimum weighted value feedback part 24 for feeding the determined optimum weighted value back to the base station. In the weighted value vector determiner 23, when a differential code book made up of differences between adjacent two weighted vectors is used, the frequency of computation for finding the optimum weighted value can be made less with a low power consumption.
