A green coloured, infrared and ultraviolet radiation absorbing glass composition comprises a base glass portion comprising: a) 66 to 75% by weight of SiO2; b) 10 to 20% by weight of Na2O; c) 5 to 15% by weight of CaO; d) 0 to 5% by weight of MgO; e) 0 to 5% by weight of Al2O3 and f) 0 to 5% by weight of K2O and a solar radiation absorbing and colourant portion consisting essentially of g) 0.90 to 2.0% by weight of total iron; h) 0.17 to 0.52% by weight of FeO; i) 40 to 150 PPM of CoO; j) 250 to 800 PPM of Cr2O3; k) 0.1 to 1% by weight of TiO2; l) optionally 0.1 to 0.32% by weight of V2O5; m) optionally 0 to 0.5% by weight of MnO2; n) optionally 0 to 0.5% by weight of Nd2O3; o) optionally 0 to 2% by weight of SnO2; p) optionally 0 to 0.5% by weight of ZnO; q) optionally 0 to 0.015% by weight of MoO3 r) optionally 0 to 2% by weight of CeO2 and s) optionally 0 to 0.1% by weight of NiO. The glass has a luminous transmittance (LTA) of up to 60% at a thickness of 0.160 inches. An automotive or a flat sheet glass can be formed from the above composition.
