PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerating system capable of shortening the transient state after the start of operation and improving the refrigerating performance while contriving a fall in refrigerant pressure at the time of stationary operation. SOLUTION: This invention relates to an expansion valve type refrigerating system in which refrigerant circulates through a compressor 1, a condenser 2, a receiver tank 3, an expansion valve 4 and an evaporator 5 in this order. A temperature-sensing type flow control valve 20 is installed on the refrigerant channel between the receiver tank 3 and the expansion valve 4. The quantity of circulating refrigerant is controlled by the flow control valve 20 according to the temperature of the refrigerant made to flow out of the condenser 2, that is the status processing capacity of the condenser 2.
